  • Chinchilla self-eating

Chinchilla (2years old, female) is chewing itself (about the anus and vulva). The skin is damaged, there is a big wound. Has anyone had such a patient? The animal is not eating its food, doesn't drink. The wound is protected from chewing. Can it be the psychological disorder or metabolic? I couldn't see the ear color, because my client is feeding it by yellow chalk (the ears and fur is colored by yellow)... I think, prognosis is poor.

Hi, Can it be a pyometra? Is the animal still alive (I saw that you were posting more than a month ago)?
